New Silk Collection at Haus der Seidenkultur

In the run up to Christmas opening hours at Haus der Seidenkultur (HdS) will be extended. From 2nd December to 21st December HdS will be open every day (except Monday) - Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11.00 to 18.00 hours and Sundays from 13.00 to 17.00 hours.
“Main focus is then our wide range of items in the museum shop where you can find numerous high-quality ideas for Christmas gifts” says HdS-Chairman Hansgeorg Hauser.

A new collection of silk scarves and neckties with historic patterns which were once woven in the Hubert Gotzes Factory for Ecclesiastical Textiles – now HdS - has arrived just in time for Advent.
Completely new are the fashionable pink and neon colour ranges. “With this new collection we are living up to the title of our current temporary exhibition by making “Time leaps in precious silks”,” says Hauser by way of invitation to enjoy browsing in the new HdS collection. And: “The unique Christmas gift from the “Silk and Velvet Town” also contributes to safeguarding the existence of our museum.”
