As part of its summer programme, the SPD party Krefeld-Mitte visited Haus der Seidenkultur. Halide Özkurt and Claus Minwegen organized the tour. On its own website the SPD in describing the visit says: „Haus der Seidenkultur – a jewel in the centre of Krefeld.“
