Manfred Schmid from Krefeld will give an illustrated lecture entitled “Unterwegs auf der Seidenstraße” (Travels on the Silk Route) at Haus der Seidenkultur (HdS) in Luisenstraße 15 on 27th September at 19.00 hours.  
The author will present highly contrasting impressions gained during his journey to Central Asia. “The focus is on landscapes, people and markets,” says Schmid who has also contributed exhibits to the current HdS exhibition “Seide unterwegs” (Silk on the Move) which has been extended until 22nd October.
